Raymond is so passionate about music that once he learned his first instruments, guitar and ukulele, he was voracious to learn more. Over many years since studying music at Evergreen Valley college, he developed enough skills to be hired to teach band and other elementary music classes in multiple public and private schools. Parents or students may have met him at Venture, Lietz, San Miguel and/or a dozen other schools. He diligently rises early to teach before-school band classes for students as young as second grade and offers private and small group lessons in the afternoons.  His outgoing energetic personality has not only helped Raymond adapt his teaching skills to work creatively with students who have special needs, it also made him a perfect candidate to be trained to teach Early Music Awareness, The Music Place's award-winning signature curriculum for preschool age students.

Raymond is married, loves the out of doors, and lives in the  Evergreen area of San Jose.

Teaching Style

Raymond is patient and encouraging while also bringing an upbeat energy to his teaching that engages students of all ages. His combined love for teaching and kids shines though in the way his students are motivated by his approach.
