Vivian has been immersed in music since the age of five. Even before she could walk, she was pressing the keys of a keyboard and moving along to the tunes coming from the television. Since 2015, she has studied not only piano performance but also music theory,  and earned advanced-level 10 California state honors in the Certificate of Merit (CM) during her freshman year of high school.

Since middle school, Vivian participated in her school band and experimented with multiple woodwind instruments, ultimately dedicating herself to the oboe, which she now plays in her high school band. She has also enjoyed exploring other instruments, most notably the flute and  Eb alto saxophone, becoming comfortable playing sections of songs across a variety of styles. Beyond instrumental music, Vivian has ventured into vocal performance and theatre, participating in school choirs as well as musical productions—such as Fiddler on the Roof— further deepening her connection to the performing arts.
