What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept checks (made payable to The Music Place), cash, and one-time OR monthly automatic deduction payments. (deducted from your choice of checking or savings accounts)

How do I sign up for automatic payment deductions?

answer Simply download the form entitled “Authorization for Automatic Payment Deductions”, and mail or fax it with a voided check to The Music Place (408) 445-2806

What should I do with my payment?

A. Private lesson payments made out to The Music Place are given directly to the instructor.

B. Group class payments should be placed in payment mailboxes in any multi-class campus lobby.

C. Automatic payments may include all family payments and are deducted from your selected account monthly, no sooner than the 2nd of the month.

What if my child is absent?

Make up lessons are available when 1) 24 hours notice is given OR 2) the lessons fall on an official Music Place holiday. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice are forfeited.

Group classes: one make-up class per student per quarter is given to each student. The make-up class can be made up if the class time falls on a day that has five weeks in a month.

Private Classes: the fifth week is optional as a make up OR as an extra lesson charged at a single lesson rate.

Do we pay for vacation absences?

answer In order to “hold” their spot during Summer (6/15-9/1) or Winter (12-20-1/2), students may pay only for classes taken, (at the higher single class rate) provided the following occurs:
  1. 7 days notice is given for absences.
  2. At least 2 classes per month are paid.
  3. Payments are made in advance

What holidays do you observe?

The Music Place office does not close on every federal holiday. On the following holidays the office is closed and no group classes are taught:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Good Friday (starting at 12:00 PM.)
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • The week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Are private lessons ever be taught when The Music Place office is closed?

answer Yes, by appointment only. Please check with your student’s instructor.

What if my child’s teacher is absent?

answer Teachers may schedule make-ups for planned absences. For unplanned absences The Music Place usually offers qualified staff substitutes. When make-ups are not possible or desired, families may opt for a tuition credit toward the following month’s tuition.

I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
