Mahika has extensive performing arts training and experience in vocal music with accompaniment in piano, guitar, and ukulele. She has been training in classical piano since 2007 and popular music accompaniment and theory since 2013. A performer at heart, Mahika has performed in recitals, coffee shops, musicals, open mics, and competitions and has garnered experience in stage presence and projection. Additionally, she has performed at HomeFirst Life Center, Hope Services, and other charity organizations.
Where her training in piano was more traditional, her training in voice includes speech level singing, a specialized form of vocal training which helps the student sing in a more natural way without damaging the voice with tension or pressure. What she truly loves the most is not performing but helping others discover for themselves the joy of performing. She also enjoys working with kids and volunteers to help homeless and at risk youth ages 3-11.
Mahika helps her student learn by lots of cheerful encouragement and balanced with detailed but gentle correcting adjustments. She enjoys allowing students to learn through the use of more complex but inspiring contemporary music that they recognize and will perform for their friends. As an intern, Mahika is a big sister inspiration to aspiring younger musicians.

I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
