TIM S.
Tim has been playing electric and acoustic guitar for 23+ years and has performed, arranged,
written songs, & recorded several albums. Tim's well-rounded musical background also
includes playing live shows, several years of piano lessons, being mostly self-taught on
guitar, singing baritone for 2 years at Lutheran Bible Institute, and leading Friday night
worship services at Los Gatos Christian Church since 2004.
Tim has been teaching guitar since August 2006. He quickly expanded his student base simply
by word-of-mouth from enthusiastic students and parents. Although Tim appreciates a wide
variety of styles, he focuses on teaching his students contemporary worship, pop, rock,
classic rock, hard rock & blues. Tim combines elements of work and fun into his teaching
style; along with the fundamentals, he finds creative ways to teach familiar popular songs
that engage and inspire his students.
Tim is a South Bay native and enjoys skiing, hiking, swimming, tennis and serving his Savior
and Friend Jesus Christ in its various forms. (I Peter 4:10) He says, "Playing music has
brought me much joy to my life and I look forward to sharing that joy with you."

"Our daughter, Melissa, loves her music class, and she looks forward to the recitals. She's made friends and become more confident. We'd recommend the Music Place to anyone. -- Melissa's parents, Kathy & Matt, Los Gatos" .
I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
