Karinda, in her early twenties, is currently studying Music Education at Bethany University. She has been playing the piano since she was eleven years old, a hard-working student of professional musicians. Music is one of the joys of her life, and she takes pleasure in performing with passion and sensitivity to the composer's original intent.

She enjoys teaching both children and adults whether they are beginners or have prior musical experience. Karinda believes that it is important to include music that her students enjoy in their curriculum so that their learning experience will be fun. In addition to fun, recognizable songs, her lessons include sight reading, technique, theory and ear training. She represents The Music Place core value of "teaching to the unique child" by working to determine each student's individual areas of talent and helps them to develop those skills. Karinda completed her teacher training at The Music Place in the Summer of 2008, and began teaching here the following Fall of 2008.  Her previous experience tutoring
home-schooled students and teaching piano in her home helped equip her for the opportunity of growing as a teacher at The Music Place.

Playing the piano, reading, and gardening are Karinda's favorite pastimes.
