JAMIE W.notes

Jamie graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Music Education. She studied piano for 16 years, classical voice for eight years, has classroom teaching experience, and is mostly self-taught on the guitar. She started teaching with The Music Place in 2005 and now also serves as the Director of Educational Development. Jamie enjoys teaching a variety of styles and loves working with students of all ages and abilities. Helping students find their “voice” and express themselves with honesty, passion, and creativity is central to her mission as a teacher. In her lessons, Jamie finds fun ways to encourage her students toward excellence and confidence. When she is not teaching, she spends her time outdoors, songwriting, playing with the worship team at her church, and learning how to play the drums.

Jamie is a recent winner of the National Christian Song-Writing Competition and has produced and album of original songs entitled "Radiance."  (She has graciously made this available for sale to benefit our scholarship fiund.)  You may hear two of her songs on our W.A.K.E. video clip at W.A.K.E. Camp Experience .

"Our daughter, Melissa, loves her music class, and she looks forward to the recitals. She's made friends and become more confident. We'd recommend the Music Place to anyone. -- Melissa's parents, Kathy & Matt, Los Gatos" .

I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
