Denise, mother of two beautiful daughters, has been teaching group and private piano lessons for 30 years. In the last fifteen years, she has performed as a solo harpist for weddings and other social gatherings. She has continued her music education and added voice to her studies after returning to the area in 1994. Denise began private piano lessons at age seven in Wisconsin. She began harp lessons in high school where she was in the orchestra and string ensemble for four years. She attended Cardinal Stritch College as a music major. In 1978, she relocated to Southern California where she added theater study and participation in various theater group endeavors to her music studies. Since returning to the Bay area, Denise has taught in various community centers with students from five to fifty years old and from beginning to advanced levels. Denise feels that teaching music to such a variety of ages has taught her the importance of remaining young at heart. She teaches piano, beginning violin, harp, voice, all arts and EMA. Denise has a great interest in history, both current and past, and enjoys creating historically correct clothing for various groups and for thematic weddings.
