DAMALI V.
Damali grew up in a musical home and was able to serve using her musical gifts in her grandfather's church when she was a teenager. Her mother, an accomplished pianist, gave Damali her first lessons and she later studied privately in the Palo Alto area. She has been involved in piano and choral music education since 1985 and is currently completing a rigorous Early Music Awareness Certification program at The Music Place.
Damali is a graduate of Bethel and Blazing Fire schools of ministry where she has been trained to serve in music and worship leading ministries. She has a beautiful voice and enjoys teaching children of all ages. In addition to teaching voice and the basic skills of piano playing, Damali loves to share her gift of improvisation that helps kids to play more familiar or contemporary (but difficult) songs sooner than if they learned them in an exclusively traditional approach.
As an Early Music Awareness and vocal ensemble teacher, Damali exhibits lots of energy and yet a calm patience that is endearing to her students and all who know her.
