CAROLYN B.notes

Carolyn, wife, mother of three, and grandmother, is glad for the opportunity to help others learn to play the piano. Born in Oakland, she received her first piano lesson at the age of seven. Carolyn attended San Jose State College as a nursing student where she had the privilege of assisting the delivery of infants. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, she had to give up her nursing career. Choosing to return to school to pursue a different love, Carolyn received two years of music training at West Valley Junior College. For more than thirty now she has played the piano for church events, conferences and children’s choirs. Carolyn is also a pre-school teacher and just loves teaching children! So whether she is instructing an EMA (Early Music Awareness) class, or teaching a child to play the piano, Carolyn loves to do it! She feels so passionately about teaching that she said “my piano students become like my children and grandchildren ”. She looks forward to teaching YOU how to play the piano, to play the songs you want to play, and to have a lifetime of enjoyment of music.

I tell everyone who will listen about the amazing introduction to music that our daughter is getting with the Music Place. People are always amazed when a 3-year old explains that she played an oboe last week and is going to play a piccolo next week! Most importantly, our daughter can't wait for music class & asks to go every day. -- The Pace Family
